R&D (Research and Development) Proven experience acquired through our project for the Carbon Trust in the UK using hybrid drive systems bringing the cost of using fuel cells inline with traditional IC technologies. We build international partnerships and collaborate on drive system, energy and vehicle development.

SUSTRACO has been playing its part in the development of a futuristic light rail vehicle that incorporates the use of Biomethane and kinetic energy storage. The project, dubbed the first of a kind, has been made possible via a Department for Transport/SBRI Innovate UK research and development grant to Ultra Light Rail Partners. The demonstration vehicle undertook operational testing at the Motorail test track facility in Long Marston in Warwickshire.

BUTS is a joint venture company set up by Ultra Light Rail Partners from the UK and CJH Multisourcing from Belgium. In this way we have enabled the experience and expertise developed over may years to develop within the EU single market. We are based in Belgium with offices in two locations. BUTS joins The Biomethane Industrial Partnership - The BIP is an industrial partnership in which policy makers, industry and other stakeholders team up with the goal to support the achievement of the target of 35 billion cubic metres annual production and use of sustainable biomethane by 2030, and to create the preconditions for a further ramp-up of its potential towards 2050.
