Reintroducing Streetcars and Interurban services in the Boise Metro Area using innovative solutions.
Boise Metro Tramway Boise Metro Tramway
The   City   of   Boise   Idaho   was   once the   proud   owner   of   an   extensive Streetcar   and   Interurban   electric rail     system.     Our     aim     is     the reintroduction      of      a      modern system     using     innovative     cost effective     technology.     Why     not join us on this adventure.
We envisage a multi-stage approach over a number of years that will create an integrated modern public transit system for the Boise Metro area.  Stage One and Two will showcase different drive technologies; will run on existing railway lines and is expected to operate on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Progress so far With the assistance of CJH Multisourcing in Belgium we have obtained a 5 year lease on 2 used streetcars. The streetcars presently in the UK are owned by SUSTRACO who will also provide on-going technical support. Arrangements have been made with the university in Boise who will assist with the refurbishment as part of their courses.
